Frustrations of a Small Town Pastor

Frustrations of a Small Town PastorI’m going to start a series of blog posts on some of the frustrations I experience as a pastor in a small town. These are going to obviously be contextualized in the sense that they represent what find frustrating living in a small town in rural WI, so you may not related. However, I think most small towns have many similar qualities, so perhaps you’ll agree. I’m also looking forward to hearing you share your ideas on how to deal with these issues too!

So for as long as I keep coming up with frustrations, I’ll keep posting in this series. The goal will to help prepare people for the reality of pastoral ministry in a small town context as well as to help me work through things. Blogging can kind of be like therapy for a pastor, right? Ha ha!

Since there is thankfully a larger emphasis on church planting in rural communities these days, hopefully this will help some people prepare for the onslaught of awesomeness.
